Blog Update + Gratefulness

Hello there!

Today I wanted to take a minute and share with you about what’s going on with the blog.

This blog launched around the first of the year and has grown and brought me so much joy since then.

I love to hear from my readers and it’s also fun to see steady growth month-to-month with more and more people coming to check out what I have to say!

I do, however, still work full time and have multiple things going on each and every week, which leaves me less time to blog than I would like. You may have noticed that the last month hasn’t been consistent with the Tuesdays and Thursdays format.

Because I want to share quality content consistently, I’ve decided to scale back my frequency from twice a week to once a week. I want to be able to share things that will add value to your life, and I think it will be more valuable to have great posts weekly than mediocre content twice a week. I hope you agree.

I’ve also given a lot of thought to the core of this blog- personal development, relationships, and wellness- and determined that it can all be encompassed in the category of wellness.

With this in mind, I’ve also decided to change the overarching blog theme to “wellness” and here’s why: according to the national wellness institute, wellness has six dimensions. They are:

  1. Occupational
  2. Physical
  3. Social
  4. Intellectual
  5. Spiritual
  6. Emotional

These are exactly the things I love to share on the blog, and from the feedback I’ve received, it’s what you all love to read about as well. Wellness is the health of the whole person. This includes all of these dimensions which basically boils down to exactly what this blog is all about: thriving.

I’ll share more on the overarching topic of wellness in the future, and from now on you can expect posts regarding those six dimensions. I can’t wait!

My one-day-a-week schedule will lead to me posting on Mondays, so be on the lookout for that.

With Thanksgiving just around the corner here in the States, I thought I’d also take this time to share a few things I’m thankful for. In no particular order, I’m thankful for:

  1. All of you! I love writing and learning and growing just for me, but it’s so fun and rewarding to know others are gaining something from the things I’m sharing. Thank you so much for reading- this blog has been such a blessing!
  2. The people in my life. My family, friends, clients, church family, coworkers, acquaintances, neighbors, everybody. I’ve been blessed to get to know some truly wonderful people.
  3. That my basic needs are met. I do my best not to take for granted that I have food, water, safety, and shelter and that I have never not had these things.
  4. The Thanksgiving season! I love that there is a time dedicated to gratefulness, but I want this mentality to last all year!
